Baptist High School Akure Set to Host Historic 2008 Alumni “Homecoming” Reunion on December 27, 2025

The Baptist High School Akure Old Students’ Association (BHSAOSA) 2008 graduating set is gearing up for a landmark reunion—their first official gathering since leaving the school seventeen years ago. Scheduled for December 27, 2025, at the Baptist High School Akure hall, this groundbreaking event carries the fitting theme: “Homecoming.”

Founded in 2001, Baptist High School Akure has grown into a respected educational institution, nurturing some of the region’s brightest minds. The return of the 2008 set—among the school’s earliest indigenous cohorts—marks a significant and emotional milestone in its history. The theme “Homecoming” captures the essence of the reunion: a heartfelt return to where friendships were forged, values were instilled, and lifelong foundations were built.

Festivities will begin with a vibrant red-carpet reception at 10:00 a.m., offering alumni the opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate personal and collective achievements. The main event will commence at 11:30 a.m. prompt, featuring inspiring speeches, special recognitions, entertainment, and conversations on how the alumni body can contribute to the continued growth and development of the school and the community.

In a virtual interview with the ThisDay News, the president of the organization, Dr. Ayodeji Adeusi, describes the reunion as a historic moment designed to rekindle old bonds and strengthen community spirit, bringing together former classmates from across Nigeria and abroad. Teachers, administrators, and notable members of the Baptist community are also expected to grace the occasion.

As excitement builds, the 2008 set extends an open invitation to all members and well-wishers to join this memorable Homecoming—a celebration of unity, reflection, and renewed commitment to sustaining the legacy of Baptist High School Akure for generations to come.
