Fubara to Inaugurate Strategic Projects in Rivers

Despite the alleged secret renewed crisis in the political space of Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has continued to deliver people-oriented projects in the state.
This is the governor expressed his readiness to inaugurate 10 strategic projects that will positively benefit both residents and indigenes of the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Benibo Anabraba, who revealed this to journalists yesterday during a media briefing in Port Harcourt, said Governor Fubara is dedicated to delivering democratic dividends to the people.
Benibo, who hailed President Bola Tinubu for his intervention and magnanimity, which ensured the return of the Fubara-led administration, assured the state that the governor would continue to fulfill his obligation to the people.
The SSG said: “As a government that secured its electoral victory on the popular mandate of the good people of Rivers State, we pledged at the inception of this administration to make the welfare of our citizens a priority of our social contract, and this we have assiduously worked to protect and provide.”
He said that through the provision of critical infrastructure and other welfare programmes, including keeping the peace and order of the state for its socio-economic growth and development, the people of the state will feel the impact of the incumbent government of Fubara.
“Despite the resultant effects of the interregnum in democratic governance, we have taken off in earnest, from where we stopped, particularly in the initiation, execution, and completion of projects, with special appreciation to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose timely and fatherly intervention and magnanimity ensured that this administration returned to fulfill its obligation to the people of the state,” she said.
Benibo further disclosed that the inauguration would commence on December 10 to conclude on December 23 this year, saying that the projects for unveiling and flag-off will cut across the East and West, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Kwerre, Emohua, Obio/Akpor, and Port-Harcourt City Local Government Areas of Rivers State.
He thanked Rivers people for finding Governor Fubara, who he described as being “humbled by the trust reposed in him, and honoured by the privilege bestowed on him to serve as the governor of Rivers State at this time of our lives as a people, and thereby convey the governor’s commitment to ensuring that the dividends of democracy are delivered to all citizens irrespective of location, while maintaining the peace and development of Rivers State at all times.”
The SSG responded to questions from the journalists and assured the Red Rivers people of their security, urging them to follow the path of peace.
He listed the projects to be inaugurated to include extension of dualisation of Ahoada-Omoku road, Egbeda-Omerelu link road, Ikwerre road-Igwuruta-Airport, RIVTAF Housing Estate/anniversary celebration, and Ihuowo-Ihuama ring road
Others are Obodhi-Ozochi road and bridge, Ogbakiri junction (roundabout)-Ogbakiri Waterfront road, Ahoada Zonal Hospital, Permanent Secretaries’ Quarters, and Federal High Court Complex, while the Ipo town-Airport road bypass will be flagged off soon.
