Prince Emmanuel Botu Expresses Gratitude After Late Seimbiri Monarch’s Final Rites

The Royal Family of the Seimbiri Kingdom has formally expressed deep gratitude to traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and supporters who honoured the final rites of passage of the late monarch, His Majesty, King Dr Charles Ayemi Botu, ofr.

In a letter signed by Prince Emmanuel Botu (Olotu), Prince of Seimbiri Kingdom and Former Head of Surveillance, IPMAN/Presidency, the royal family acknowledged the massive outpouring of support received throughout the period of the king’s transition.

Introducing the message, Prince Botu said the statement was issued on behalf of the entire royal family and the people of Seimbiri Kingdom.

Titled ‘LETTER OF APPRECIATION
From HRH, Prince Emmanuel Botu (Olotu), Prince of Seimbiri Kingdom & Former Head of Surveillance, IPMAN/Presidency, the letter partly read, “On behalf of the Royal Family of Seimbiri Kingdom and the entire good people of our land, I, HRH Prince Emmanuel Botu (Olotu), humbly and sincerely extend our profound gratitude to all who honoured the glorious life and royal transition of our beloved father, His Majesty, Late King Dr Charles Ayemi Botu, during his final rite of passage.”

Prince Botu further acknowledged the distinguished presence of leaders and dignitaries who participated in the ceremonies.

The letter read further, “We deeply appreciate the presence and solidarity of our revered traditional rulers, captains of industries, chiefs, community leaders, clergies, government functionaries, security agencies, friends, associates, and well-wishers from far and near who stood with us in this historic moment of honour and farewell.

“Your overwhelming show of love, respect, and unity truly reflected the towering legacy, wisdom, and service-oriented reign of our late monarch.”

Highlighting the extent of support received, the prince noted that every gesture made the farewell truly befitting.

His message continued, “Your prayers, kind words, financial and moral support, and every gesture of goodwill contributed immensely to the successful and befitting royal farewell accorded to our father.

“We do not take your sacrifices and commitment for granted. Indeed, your presence brought comfort, strength, and dignity to our family and kingdom at this time.”

He concluded the appreciation by offering blessings on behalf of the kingdom, stating, “May the Almighty and the ancestral spirits of Seimbiri Kingdom reward you abundantly, uplift your endeavours, and return your kindness in measures beyond imagination. With deepest appreciation and royal regards.”

The late King Dr Charles Ayemi Botu, ofr, was widely respected for his wisdom, long years of service, and contributions to the cultural and socio-economic stability of the Seimbiri Kingdom. His final rites drew dignitaries from across the Niger Delta and beyond.
