25 Companies Set for NBCC Golf Tournament

The Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) will host the 11th edition of its annual Nigeria-British Golf Tournament on December 11, 2025.

This was announced recently during a press conference in Lagos by the Committee Chairman of the NBCC’s Golf Tournament, Mr. Tayo Babalakin, who disclosed that 25 companies are expected to participate in the tournament.

The tournament will take place at the Ikoyi Golf Club, Lagos.

Babalakin said: “In furtherance of our commitment to building and expanding business opportunities for members and prospects, this annual event of the chamber is aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, policymakers and other key stakeholders in trade and investment to strengthen relationships among member and non-member of Nigerian and British organisation.

“The Nigerian British Golf Cup will also serve as a social networking platform, therefore, building business interaction among participants.”

He explained that participation at this event would help to consolidate brand loyalty among a captive audience of distinguished and accomplished professionals and would present the opportunity to entertain key customers and staff golfers.

The format of the tournament is stableford competition amongst teams of four players each that represents a corporate sponsor.

Babalakin stated that the NBCC has been holding an annual golf tournament for 11 years running.
According to him, the whole essence of the tournament is to further the chamber’s commitment in building and expanding business opportunities for its members.

He said: “It is an annual event aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, policy makers, etc., and stakeholders in trade and investment to strengthen relationships among our members and non-members.

“That is why corporate bodies have been identifying with it and sustaining it.”
He added that”it is a corporate team competition open to members and non-members.
“We have about 25 companies that will be taking part in this amateur competition for first, second, third and fourth prizes.

“We also have two special prizes for the best individual male and female.
“Golf is one of the few sports that allows men and women to play and compete together.”
