Qoray, AutoGig Partner to Boost Aftersales Support for Electric Vehicles in Nigeria

Qoray Mobility and Energies Ltd has struck a strategic deal with AutoGig International to deliver aftersales support for electric vehicles (EVs) in Nigeria, a move that directly tackles one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption: the lack of reliable technical care.

The partnership, signed at AutoGig’s Gbagada office in Lagos, will cover diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for both Qoray and non-Qoray EV owners. By combining AutoGig’s expertise in automotive servicing with Qoray’s clean mobility push, both firms say they are setting the stage for a smoother transition to electric mobility in Nigeria.

“We wanted a partner that shared our bold vision for scaling the EV ecosystem,” said Akinkunmi Akingbogun, Vice President of Mobility at Qoray. “AutoGig stood out, particularly for their progress with EVs and their recognized expertise in technical training. For us, this is a perfect alignment.”

AutoGig’s CEO, Tope Bukola Ojo, called the partnership a boost for Nigeria’s clean transport ambitions. “We are excited to partner with Qoray in delivering trusted aftersales support for EV owners. With our strong reputation in human capital development and growing expertise in EV technology, we are well positioned to meet the market’s needs,” he said.

Analysts believe the move could ease what many describe as “range anxiety’s cousin,” the fear of inadequate servicing, which has slowed down wider EV adoption in Nigeria.

Qoray has built its profile as a clean energy and mobility solutions provider focused on electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and renewable power. AutoGig International, with its nationwide servicing network and its training arm, Autogig Academy, has become one of the country’s leading names in automotive repairs and technician development, now extending its footprint in EV technology.
