Kwara State Partners Digital Equity Africa to Launch Future Minds AI Bootcamp
Digital Equity Africa in partnership with Kwara State Owned Ilorin Innovation Hub is proud to announce the Future Minds AI Learning boothcamp, Independence Edition taking place in Ilorin, Kwara State, from October 1, 2025.
In a statement, it was noted that the four-day programme will be hosted in the Kwara State Innovation Hub. The initiative underscores Kwara State’s commitment to digital literacy and youth empowerment, with the Ilorin Innovation Hub serving as a major host for digital skills programs in the state.
The statement also noted that the Hub, under the leadership of Mr. Temi Kolawole, Director of the Ilorin Innovation Hub, has been at the forefront of nurturing innovation and driving the state’s digital transformation agenda.
The statement remarked that designed by Digital Equity Africa for children and teenagers aged 6–17, the bootcamp will provide an exciting hands-on introduction to Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and digital literacy skills that will prepare the next generation for the future of work and innovation.
In her remarks, the CEO of Digital Equity Africa and Founder of Future Minds AI, Justina Nnam Oha, said: “This Independence Edition is not only about celebrating Nigeria’s progress, but also about empowering our young people with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to shape the future. With the support of the Kwara State Government and the Ilorin Innovation Hub, we are ensuring that Kwara’s young people are not left behind in the AI revolution.”
Speaking on the significance of the partnership, Director of the Ilorin Innovation Hub, Mr. Temi Kolawole, stated: “At Ilorin Innovation Hub, we believe digital literacy is a cornerstone for economic growth and social inclusion. Hosting the Future Minds AI Bootcamp aligns perfectly with our mission to make Kwara State a leader in digital innovation. By equipping our young people with AI and future-ready skills, we are laying the foundation for a thriving digital economy.”
The statement further explained that the curriculum, developed in collaboration with UNESCO, combines practical workshops, interactive projects, and mentorship sessions, helping participants explore how AI can be applied to real-world problems in health, education, agriculture, and beyond.
It added that the event which is themed: ‘Future Minds AI Learning Bootcamp – Independence Edition,’ will hold on October 1-5 2025, Kwara State Innovation Hub, Ilorin, Kwara State, and the event partners are Kwara State Government, Kwara State Innovation Hub, UNESCO, Digital Equity Africa.
