OPM Empowers 60 Army Widows, Families in Port Harcourt

…… Distributes make up kits and starter packs to wives and children of fallen heroes

Not fewer than 60 persons including widows of officers who died in active service, Officers wife and children have been empowered by Omega Power Ministries (OPM) foundation. They also received make up kits and starter parks.

In a presentation of empowerment materials held in their honor on Monday 1st September 2025 at OPM Multi free skills acquisition center Mbodo Aluu Port Harcourt, the Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries and President of OPM Foundation, His Royal Majesty King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere says that it is a way of encouraging the Nigerian army and widows of those people who died in active service.
In a bid to empower the widows of Army officers who died in active service, OPM Foundation organized a six months intensive training at OPM Multi free skills acquisition center in port Harcourt to train them on various vocational skills. At the completion of their training today, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere empowered them with sewing machines, Laptops, Ovens, gas cookers, and paint production materials. These will help those who learnt sewing, ICT, catering and paint making to be self employed.

According to King Chibuzor;

” How else can we encourage these widows that their husbands died in active service while defending this nation. I now thought about training them in different skills and also empowering them to start their own”

OPM Multi skills acquisition center which has trained over 50,000 Nigerians in various vocational skills has been in existence for the past 15 years and has the approval of the Ministry of Labour and Productivity which makes its certificate to be recognized in every part of the world.

When asked if the multi skills acquisition center is for Christians alone, the man of God says;

” We don’t discriminate in this center. It is for both Christians and Muslims” adding that over 25 free vocational skills are being acquired.
For instance, those who are trained in the rigging department have secured employment in offshores while we also make personal arrangements for them to travel and work with some organizations in Saudi Arabia.

For more than 15 years, OPM foundation has been running two free specialist hospitals where everything including surgery is free, 37 tuition free schools , one free school for autism and Downsyndrome, tuition free girls technical college, 18 free Estates, 9000 local and overseas scholarships etc and funded through offering and tithes from the church without government support.

He calls on the State government, federal government, international organizations and Multi Nationals to partner with the OPM foundation.

” I will advise State Government, Federal Government, international organizations and Multi Nationals to come and partner with OPM”

He also call on those who wants to partner to inform them so as to take a tour of the facilities to see things for themselves.

” If you want to see things we are doing, you can come and take a tour of our facilities and see things for yourself “

Dignitaries at the event includes Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, General officer commanding, 6 Division Nigerian Army, his wife and other Senior Army officers. President of OPM Divine Distributors, OPM Director of welfare Dr Mrs Maurine Chukwu were also in attendance.

Commending the General Overseer Omega Power Ministries, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah , General officer commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, thanked the Man of God for what he has done which is in line with the chief of Army staff philosophy and soldiers mantra that lays emphasis on welfare of soldiers and their families.

” When they started the training, I have been here to see the trainees and the graduants during their training and I was quite impressed”

He further expressed his happiness seeing an individual who comes to support the Nigerian army.

” Like the chief of Army staff will always say that the Nigerian army is the peoples Army so we are excited when we see individuals like this comes to support the Army”

In her remark, the Chairperson of the 6 Division chapter of Nigerian army officers wife association, says the Empowerment will help women and girl child to live a purposeful life.
