Bamzi AKA Collxgxe Announces Highly Anticipated EP “OMO OBA NI MI”

Bamzi is set to captivate audiences with the release of his new EP, “OMO OBA NI MI,” on July 31, 2025. This deeply personal project offers listeners an intimate look into the artist’s experiences and growth, marking a significant evolution in his musical narrative.

“OMO OBA NI MI” was born out of a period of mental and emotional challenge for Bamzi, transforming adversity into a powerful artistic statement. “The truth about life is in the lies we tell,” Bamzi reflects, hinting at the profound themes explored within the EP.

This project distinguishes itself from his previous work by embracing a new level of honesty and introspection, focusing on universal themes of life, survival and love.

Musically, Bamzi, known for his signature afro reggae sound, infuses “OMO OBA NI MI” with elements of “college music” a unique fusion of hip hop, reggae, and blues. The entire EP was meticulously recorded in his home studio, allowing him the space and time to bring his artistic vision to fruition.

Despite facing challenges during production, particularly “dealing with external bodies on the project,” Bamzi expresses gratitude for the fruitful outcome. The EP features no collaborations with other artists, but highlights the essential contribution of super talented engineer Gabriel Eruzy Ochim, who handled all engineering and produced several beats.

Originally slated for a September 2024 release , “life happened,” causing a delay that has only intensified anticipation for this project. Fans can also look forward to accompanying visuals, with videos already prepared and more in the pipeline.

Bamzi defines success for this project simply as “Na Baba God get the final say”. “OMO OBA NI MI” is just the beginning, as Bamzi confirms that it serves as a lead-up to a bigger project, with “part 2” already in the works.
