Idimogu Praises Tinubu for Forgiving Sanwo-Olu, Cites Leadership and Humanity

Former lawmaker Hon. Sir Jude Chukwuemeka Omobowale Idimogu, representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for forgiving Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. According to Hon. Idimogu, this act demonstrates that the President is a leader who is human and God-fearing.
Soeaking with Journalists recently, Hon. Idimogu stated, “I want to specially commend and thank our leader, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu… For him to have shown that he is a father, irrespective of whatever might have gone wrong… He has shown, as a leader, he is human and at the same time, a God-fearing leader, who used the opportunity of Salah to forgive the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and let whatever must have happened, let bygones be bygones, let them move forward.”
The lawmaker noted that both Governor Sanwo-Olu and President Tinubu have barely two years left in their terms and encouraged them to move forward. He said, “Babajide Sanwo-Olu still has two years to go, Asiwaju also has two more years to go, to complete his first term… I know, God wants him to finish his second term.”
Hon. Idimogu expressed appreciation for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s humility, stating, “I want to thank Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for him to have also… You see, two wrongs do not make a right, Sanwo-Olu has always, for me, is soft-spoken, intelligent, quiet… He has done well, I give him 80%.”
The lawmaker also thanked the Governance Advisory Council of Lagos for their role in facilitating the reconciliation, saying, “I really want to thank the ruling Governance Advisory Council (GAC) of Lagos State, and their Leader, for stepping in… May God bless him, may God see him through.”
Hon. Idimogu concluded by praying for peace in Lagos State and expressing gratitude to both leaders for setting a positive example. He stated, “May this your good example show the light to others in leadership position in Lagos State even in Nigeria, to know that to err is human but to forgive is divine.
