Xolane Ndhlovu: DafriBank is For Digital Entrepreneurs
The advent of DafriBank is leverage for digital entrepreneurs in Africa according to the chairman of the bank, Xolane Ndhlovu who made the assertion on July 10, 2021, when DafriBank Digital went live.
“The traditional banks have for years suppressed digital entrepreneurs who wholly depend on them for movement of funds online for their businesses,” he stated, claiming that banks tend to regard as unscrupulous characters those entrepreneurs who are engaged in various digital endeavours that include e-commerce, forex trading, crypto-blockchain, digital agency, binary option, soccer betting, digital exchange, digital marketing, multi-level marketing, social media influencing work, Airbnb, online publishing and advertising among others.
“You bank with one eye open as you can wake up to your account frozen pending submission of your proof of income,” he noted, “and they made it inconducive for you to swiftly move funds online to finance your cyber business endeavours.”
It is for these reasons, he avowed, that DafriBank came into existence. “This is why we decided to build a bank that you can finally bank with in peace. A bank who will value you as real entrepreneurs that adapted quickly to a 21st century way of working smart rather than working hard,” he said.
Justifying the founding of the digital-only bank, Ndhlovu said: “DafriBank is a bank that understands that we are in a digital era and you do not need a building sprung up to the sky as your company’s headquarters to own and control a multi billion-dollar company. It is a bank that understands that in this digital era an entrepreneur can own and control a multibillion-dollar company at your fingertip.”
