In the UK alone, it has won an impressive array of automotive accolades, including those for Auto Express magazine and, most recently, Best SUV 2018 in the Carbuyer Car of the Year awards. The 3008 SUV has impressed many awards panels around the world thanks to its dynamic qualities, stylish exterior, equipment, interior design and its innovative PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®.
To allow buyers to express themselves, they could choose from one of two distinctive front end designs: A radiator grille with chrome facets, surrounded by sharp and bright halogen headlights – On Active and Allure levels; or A chiselled chequered radiator grille combined with full LED headlights for a sleek, feline look – On GT Line and GT levels.
The Peugeot 3008’s SUV robust look continues with its raised ride height strong shoulder line and horizontal bonnet, while the stylish chrome wing inserts* and stainless steel roof arch trim emphasise its fluid and dynamic lines.
The Peugeot 3008 SUV asserts a unique and sharp design. The rear of the car continues this iconic and innovative style, with a gloss black rear panel incorporating Peugeot’s signature claw effect LED lighting.
Behind the wheel is the automaker’s most advanced version of the new PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® along with its high-tech innovations. The steering wheel is more compact and the large 8.0″ capacitive touch screen resembles a tablet installed in the centre of the dashboard. The 12.3″ head-up digital display can be completely configured and personalised, and brings together all that the driver could want within their field of vision.
To complement the 8.0” touch screen satin chrome toggle switches inspired by the world of aviation provide a unique touch to the striking cockpit design, with perfect weighting and damping, each switch is a work of art. Each switch gives direct access to the main control functions: radio, climate control, 3D Connected Navigation*, vehicle parameters, telephone and mobile applications. Every detail of the new PEUGEOT I-Cockpit® has been designed following a meticulous approach, from the full-grain leather trimmed steering wheel to the satin chrome detail contrasting with the high gloss black trim and the soft touch ‘Brumeo’ fabric that adorns the door cards and dashboard facia, no detail has been overlooked.
The folding bench seat has a 2/3 – 1/3 ‘Magic Flat’ capability to optimise loading with a flat floor so you can create an interior space to suit you. To access the ‘Magic Flat’ function, a simple pull of the release switches in the boot is all that is required, to extend the already impressive bootspace from 591 litres to the full 1670 litres of capacity available (including spare wheel well). The excellent levels of modularity continue further, for the loading of lengthy items Peugeot 3008 SUV has the solution, at the pull of a lever the front passenger seat folds completely flat*, allowing the loading of items such as a Christmas Tree to be easier than ever.
For greater flexibility in the boot area, Peugeot 3008 SUV benefits from a two position boot floor, this allows the segregation of items, whilst also providing storage for the parcel shelf under the boot floor should it not be required.
SUV is available with a variety of stylish alloy wheels design, ranging from 17” ‘Chicago’ alloy wheels on Active models to 19” ‘Boston’ matt Haria two tone finish diamond cut alloy wheels on GT.
Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS):(Standard on all versions). An intelligent autonomous braking system designed to avoid a collision or limit its severity by reducing the vehicle’s speed. The system is triggered if the driver does not react quickly enough, by activating the vehicle’s brakes.
A multifunction camera located at the top of the windscreen coupled with a front bumper mounted radar are able to detect obstructions on the road. The system is able to detect vehicles that are moving in the same direction (up to National Speed Limit), or are at a stop (up to 50mph), together with pedestrians in the road (up to 37mph).
Distance Alert System: (Standard on all versions). Working in conjunction with AEBS, the distance alert function warns the driver if the vehicle risks a collision with the vehicle in front or a pedestrian in the road. Two levels of warning are available, the first ‘Amber’ warning provides a visual alert to the potential risk. In a more a severe instance a ‘Red’ visual and audible alert indicate a collision is imminent and driver action is required, failure to act triggers AEBS, a standard feature for every Peugeot 3008 SUV, for added peace of mind.
