APPOEMN Inducts New Members AT AGM

The Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN ), recently convened for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) to induct new members as well as deliberate on issues aimed at forging growth in the association.

According to a statement by the association’s Public Relations Director, Sakirat Bello, the AGM held at Sheba Event Center in Lagos, had year 2023 under review with 5 new members were inducted into the association signifying growth and expansion within the community.

During the meeting, the General Secretary; Jumoke Olatunji, gave a review of the association’s activities and performance for year 2023 as well as what to expect in the new year. She explained that the body did exceptionally well and is positioned to do more to impact the lives of members this new year.

The Vice President, Mr. Mohammed Tijani, during the meeting, gave his report on the creation of new chapters in states such as Edo, Asaba, Oyo, Ogun, and several Northern states, fulfilling campaign promises made to the association. He added that plans for further expansion, particularly in Ekiti, were in the pipeline.

In her remark, the association’s President, Olufunbi Akinyosoye, expressed delight at the association’s progress over the past one year. She highlighted achievements and initiatives undertaken during her first year in office which includes the addition of 39 new members. She announced some of the upcoming events such as the 2024 Appoemn Olympics and a masterclass scheduled for October.

The President went further to express appreciation to the executives for their dedication and contributions towards the progress of Appoemn.

Akinyosoye reminded members of the association’s commitment to growth, professionalism, and the advancement of the event management industry in Nigeria.

In her presentation, the Finance Director, Nike Akinyemi, presented the financial overview of the association, stressing the importance of timely dues payment for effective organizational planning.

The induction ceremony, anchored by the Vice President, welcomed 5 new members into the association, urging them to uphold its values and principles.

Highpoint of the AGM, was the unveiling of association’s event calendar for 2024 by the Events Director-Chinwe Attoh, which features activities such as a yard sale, health check fair, talent hunt brunch, trainings and the Ultimate Appoemn Olympics.
