The Managing Director of Chrisland Schools Limited, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, has stressed the importance of investing in quality research inventions, saying that such move is indispensable to Nigeria’s development.

Adeyemi was a guest at a summit with the theme ‘Research for National Development: Nigeria’s Internal Security in Focus’, organised by the Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria (EWAN), recently in Lagos. The summit highlighted the pivotal role of education, research, and collaborative efforts in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.

She stated that the school recognises the importance of collaboration among educational institutions, policymakers, researchers, and industry players in shaping the future of the nation.

“Together, let us continue to strive for excellence, innovation, and the advancement of education for the betterment of our great nation,” she said.

Adeyemi applauded EWAN’s recognition of the school’s commitment to maintaining high standards in education, despite the challenges faced by institutions in the country.

The MD, who was represented by the Executive Head of Chrisland Schools (Administration, Strategy and Growth), Mr. Olajide Onigbogi, reiterated its core values of discipline, integrity, professionalism, love, and excellence; emphasising its role in shaping the character and competence of students as they navigate the complexities of the world.

She also commended EWAN for fostering discussions that contribute to collective growth and development.

The summit featured a distinguished educationist and Chairman of the Lagos State Research and Innovation Council, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, as the keynote speaker, alongside government officials and scholars from different institutions in attendance.

In another development, Chrisland Schools Limited has launched an online television show, ‘Shining Forth’, which showcases exceptional student presenters monthly and introduces a dynamic blend of education and entertainment, with students taking centre stage.
