Before one ventures an opinion or comment into the bombings by the Nigerian Air Force of a religious gathering in Tudun Biri, one needs to know or understand the process or processes of intelligence information collation followed to determine the cause of that action.
Information collation processes are many and varied. It could be sourced from ‘outsider or insider informant, human or drone spy, or observed precipitation’ and many more.
The information so collected is then submitted to Information and Intelligence Evaluation Room for titration and filtration to assess the authenticity of the information. Thereafter, recommendation of possible options of action is made to the highest level of authority for the approval of the necessary option to be taken.
Now back to Tudun Biri bombings. Was there earlier noticed precipitation that some security breaches were looming? Has anybody from the village reported to the relevant authorities of planned breaches of the peace? Was any modern device used to foresee any likelihood of an impending danger to Kaduna State from Tudun Biri?
If all the above were not available to warrant the bombings of Tudun Biri, what then could be the reason/basis for that horrendous action culminating in that insane loss of lives by the very security outfit which is ‘supposed’ to protect lives and properties of its citizens? There must be a reason why such morbid action was taken! It certainly cannot be a whisper to somebody in authority for personal reasons.
Therefore, a dangerous precedence has been unleashed and added to the already helpless citizenry who are under the mercy of Boko Haram, bandits and kidnappers. It is bad enough Citizens are groaning in hunger and poverty! Are Nigerians becoming the wretched of the earth?
It is therefore absolutely important or necessary for the Federal government to immediately set up a high powered committee to dig out the root cause or causes of this heinous and dastardly bombings! People are already losing confidence in the ability of the government to protect them! The signals are flashing and they are very ominous!
