A Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Studies, University of Lagos, Sunday Adebisi, said arrangements have been concluded to deliver his first special annual lecture as occupier of the Dr. Mike Adenuga (Jnr) Professional Chair in Entrepreneurship Studies.
In a statement, Adebisi, also the Director, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre, UNILAG, said the lecture, scheduled for November 28, has the theme ‘Revolutionising the Nigerian Economy to Create Decent Jobs and Sustainable Wealth: The Sole-Ladder, the Sole-Option and the Sole-Platform’.
He said the lecture is aimed at changing the entrepreneurship and business landscape in Nigeria and Africa.
He explained that the Mike Adenuga (Jnr) Professional Chair, was endowed to focus on interest in research that supports enterprise creation and development in the country.
“The special annual lecture series which is to be debuted by the first chair occupier is part of the cardinal objectives of the professional chair.
“The occasion is expecting to host major players and stakeholders drawn from both the private and public sectors, to address and proffer solutions to some of the identified dire challenges facing the society.
“Among those expected to grace the occasion are the endower, Dr Mike Adenuga (Jnr) and Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Ajayi Crowther University.”
Also expected at the occasion is Chief Abimbola Ashiru, Chairman, Odu’a Investment Company Ltd as chairman, among others.
