The Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has denied that there is crisis in the state chapter of the party, described its rising popularity as the fear of its detractors.

The PDP in a statement issued thursday the party described the allegation that it imposed candidates on its members as baseless, and false.

The party in the statement said the state governorship primary is due for next year, and wondered why some mischief makers would be crying foul over a process that has not commenced.

According to the statement signed by the party’s Director for Research and Documentation, Achadu Dickson, PDP having repositioned itself to take over the state in 2019, it is now more concerned about the State and National Assembly Elections.

The party acknowledged that Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who is a former governor of the state remains the leader of the party.

PDP commended Idris’s efforts to rebrand the party, saying the efforts have brought back former members to the party.
