Elegantflix celebrates successful launch of educational books

Elegantflix Limited, under the visionary leadership of HRM Florence Okonkwo, celebrated the successful launch of its highly anticipated educational book series.

Held at the Natives Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, the event, brought together educators, parents, students, and stakeholders to witness the unveiling of five transformative publications aimed at revolutionizing learning and literacy in Nigeria.
The launch event was graced by distinguished guests, including Hon. Duke Garbadeen Olabode, President, Eternal Care Foundation, who served as the Special Guest of Honour. Michael Azukaego Okonkwo, former Head of Computer Services at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. and author of “Walking the Aisles of a Corporate Organisation,” was the Chief Launcher. Also in attendance were three revered monarchs, including HRM Oba Babatunde Olalogun Ogunlaja, the Aladeshoyin and Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforia Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State, who spoke on behalf of the royal delegation (please the names of the other Obas).
In his keynote address, Hon. Duke Garbadeen Olabode praised Okonkwo for her resilience and dedication to advancing education in Nigeria. He said: “The role and status of education in human existence cannot be overemphasized. It helps people develop skills, knowledge, and values that improve their lives and contribute to the social and economic growth of any nation. Authors like HRM Florence Okonkwo, who have the courage to conceive and deliver such impactful projects, deserve our utmost commendation. Her efforts are not only meritorious but also a proof of her commitment to nation-building.”

The Chief Launcher, Michael Azukaego Okonkwo, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s achievements, saying, “As a father, I am overwhelmed with joy and pride to witness this milestone. Florence’s dedication to education and her passion for empowering the next generation through these books is truly inspiring. These publications are legacy books and they will serve as tools for transformation.”

HRM Oba Babatunde Olalogun Ogunlaja, speaking on behalf of the royal delegation, commended HRM Florence Okonkwo for her contributions to education and literacy. He remarked, “We are proud to witness the launch of these remarkable books, which reflect the author’s deep commitment to education and her desire to uplift our society. This initiative is a shining example of how individuals can make a lasting impact on their communities.”

The event also featured a heartfelt speech by Okonkwo, who shared her vision for the book series. She said: “Today, we are not just launching books—we are igniting a vision. These five publications represent our unwavering commitment to reshaping education and fostering a love for learning among students, teachers, and lifelong learners across Nigeria and beyond. At Elegantflix Educationals, we believe in education that goes beyond rote learning. We aim to equip students with tools that prepare them for life, not just exams.”

The five books launched at the event include:

  1. A1-in-English Students Handbook: A comprehensive English textbook for Senior Secondary School students, offering a 21st-century learning experience with relatable Nigerian themes.
  2. English Language Mastery 101 – Basic: Designed for beginners and non-native speakers, this book lays a strong foundation for English proficiency.
  3. English Language Mastery 101 – Advanced: Tailored for advanced learners and professionals, this guide delves into complex grammar, vocabulary, and analytical reading.
  4. Chika and the Lost Oga Phone: A captivating novel promoting honesty, trust, and perseverance among young readers.
  5. Iniobong, The Introvert: An inspiring literature textbook addressing bullying and mental health in schools.
    The event also saw the presence of notable figures, including Mrs Akinyemi Anthonia, Director/Principal of FESTAC Girls Secondary School, Lagos, the Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria…, and Barrister Charles Onuh, all of whom expressed their support for the initiative.
    In her closing remarks, HRM Florence Okonkwo thanked the attendees for their unwavering support, stating, “To everyone present here today, your support means the world to us. It takes a village to bring a vision like this to life, and I am grateful for the encouragement and faith you have shown in Elegantflix Educational Project. Together, we can create a brighter future, one book at a time.”
