MBR Signature, Bi-Courtney Aviation Partner for Christmas Festival

Aiming to spread the spirit of joy and hope during the Christmas season, two firms — MBR Signature and Bi-Courtney Aviation — are set to host a major Christmas festival at the Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA2) Terminal, powered by Optiva Capital Partners, to bring together Nigerians to celebrate the festive season in a unique way, creating magical moments and memories.

The 20-day event will commence with an opening ceremony on Sunday, December 1, and will bring together a wide range of lyrical and comical acts, and special activities that aim to tell the story through a dynamic lens.

The Managing Director, MBR Signature, Stanley Ezeani, noted that the evolution of the festive period in recent years from traditional to modern celebrations has slowly taken out the essence of the Christmas season.

He believes these key partnerships will offer the chance to tell the Christmas story from a fresh perspective.

‘Down here in Africa, the concept of Christmas celebrations in Nigeria is not like what it used to be growing up. We don’t see a lot of magic that used to come with the season anymore. Somehow, people like us are still nursing that magical experience that comes with Christmas, and we’ve been looking for an opportunity to express that, and thanks to our partners who share common interests. We can finally make it a reality.

“There’s a lot more to Christmas, and so much stories to be told. What we intend to do is to show that the Christmas story is far beyond decorations and Christmas story. We want to build a total experience of Christmas here at the terminal,” Ezeani added.

In her remarks, the Chief Executive Officer, Optiva Capital Partners, Dr. Jane Kimemia, stated that the Christmas festival fully resonates with her brand’s key values of cultivating a sense of community and making lasting impact.

“Part of our core mission at Optiva Capital Partners is to create opportunities and platforms that foster connection, inspire joy, and enrich lives – values perfectly aligned with the spirit of Christmas.

“This festival symbolizes what we stand for – global access, a celebration of cultures, investing in initiatives, and creating experiences that bring lasting value for families, for businesses and communities in which we do business. Through this festival, we aim to showcase Nigeria as a country of possibilities, and diverse talents, deeply rooted in culture,” said Kimemia.

The Head of Space and Premises Management, MMA2 Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Kolawole Bamigboye, expressed delight at the partnership, which he believes would present an opportunity to display the terminal’s innovative and dynamic designs to a wider audience.

“We are excited for the MMA2 Terminal is being used as a terminal to celebrate the festive season. The Christmas festival is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the terminal and show the power of collaborative efforts, where different brands who do different things can come together for a singular purpose which is joy, peace and happiness that comes with the season that we are celebrating,” Bamigboye stated.

The Head of Aeronautical and Cargo Services, MMA2 Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Remi Jibodu, acknowledged that the terminal had become a major tourist attraction, where travellers and non-travellers came to enjoy a unique experience.

He noted that the festival would be leveraging on the terminal’s hub of activity to create a memorable and vibrant experience.

“It is not all about flying. People come to the terminal to eat, shop and fly. The experience we try to create now, is to try and stay at the forefront of innovation in Nigeria and this festival is one thing that can help us achieve that. This partnership is a testament to the fact that our partners, MBR Signature and Optiva Capital Partners, also have this excellence in them.

“The Christmas festival will be an exciting time for everybody, not just for the travellers, but everyone that comes to visit our terminal. I can assure that it will be a fantastic experience,” said Jibodu
