Transcorp Remains Leader in Power Generation, Says Firm’s President

President and Group Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp), Dr. (Mrs) Owen Omogiafo, has boasted that the firm remains the leader in the power generation space in the country.

She made the assertion weekend, during an end of year party for staff as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the company held at Brownhill Event Centre, Warri, Delta State.

Addressing an elated staff at the colourful event, Owen commended them for sustaining the core values of Transcorp which were excellence, enterprise and execution.

“We are doing what we do best which is to deliver on those values of enterprise, excellence and execution and this is what we have been doing consistently for the past 10 years. I want to commend you for supporting the vision.

“Transcorp power is a clear leader in the generation space in our country but we still have room for improvement. I know we will do it,” she said.

Owen commended the management and staff for sustaining the vision of the firm’s founder, Tony Elumelu, and urged them to put in more efforts to continue to be the leader in the power sector.

She also expressed appreciation to the host communities for providing a conducive environment for Transcorp power to operate.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp, Mr. Peter Ikenga, said that the power company has grown impressively over the last decade, becoming one of the leading power companies in the country.

He noted that the company’s journey had been marked by resilience, innovation and a steadfast commitment to powering progress.

“As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Transcorp Power Limited, we reflect on a decade of impactful contributions to the energy sector. I am immensely proud of our team’s dedication and the milestones we’ve achieved,” he said.

Highlight of the event was the award of N500,000 to each of four staff that exemplified the core values of the firm while several others received long service award plagues.

The firm had on Saturday empowered over 48 persons from its host communities as part of its corporate social responsibility.
