Auchi Polytechnic Alumni Organise Reunion for Members In Abuja

Graduates of Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State between 1980 and 1989, would be meeting today as part of their third re-union.
The reunion is to create a suitable forum for members in Nigeria and the diaspora to interact with one another.
The two-day reunion would kick off in Abuja, today, with the convergence of members for a major interaction and get together night while they visit the orphanages the following day.


President of the 80-89 set, Mr. Peter Nwadei, in a statement issued in Asaba, yesterday, said the re-union tagged, ‘Auchi Oldies 80-89, Abuja 2023,’ would not only to partner with the institution’s main Alumni, public and private organisations and academia, but also to realise the vision of the association.
The vision of the association, according to him, was envisaged to build a reputation for intellectual thought leadership.


On the 2023 Abuja re-union, Charles Omosun and Lady Bose Ikhanoba, Chairman and Secretary, Planning Committee respectively, disclosed that the 13-member planning committee slated the reunion in Abuja this weekend.
According to them, “members from all over the world will converge at Abuja on 5th of May for a major interaction and get-together. Then on Saturday the 6th of May, there will be visits to orphanages followed by a gala night at Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments, Asokoro in the evening where funds will be raised for several projects.”


The Secretary General of the association, Emma Daco, disclosed that hat the first reunion was held at the ancient city of Benin in 2019, while the second one was held at Dallas in the USA in 2022.
The group, he said, was created on April 28, 2019, by five friends- Florence Agbejule, Flora Alofoje, Emmanuel Daco, Delphine Ikpasaja Oghale Ajise in Lagos and presently has seven-member executive committee and several other personalities.
