Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, yesterday, asked losers at the state governorship election to take their grievance to court and seek redress.

Sule spoke at the Lafia office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shortly after he received his Certificate of Return as winner of the gubernatorial election in the state.

He said, “I urge those who feel aggrieved to take their case to court and seek redress. Elections in Nigeria are always accompanied by challenges, with losers often accusing the winners.”

The governor expressed gratitude to people of Nasarawa for voting him to victory, maintaining that his victory was made possible by their support.

He stated further that his administration had been fair and transparent, hence commending security agencies for their role in ensuring peaceful elections in the state.

Sule noted that Nasarawa State  had recently made history by discovering its first oil well in Obi Local Government Area, which according to him, “was a happy moment for the state.”

He, therefore, called on stakeholders in the state, especially members of the APC, who had defected to the opposition, to cooperate and work together with him in order to move the state forward.
