Music Entrepreneur Advocates Mentorship for Nigerian Youths

A Nigerian music entrepreneur, Chukwuebuka Gabriel Ilochonwu, has advised Nigerian youths to seek good mentors who can help nurture their dreams to fulfilment.

This, he said would save them from making avoidable mistakes which those who were already grown in their line of business made, so they won’t be slowed down along the path they now follow to the realisation of their life dreams.

According to him, “there are so many fantasies a lot of youths dwell on growing up, as many can daily build castles in their dreams, it is very easy for anyone to do that, but to be able to build them in the real sense is where the issue lies.

“However, every dream is achievable if a dreamer is well guided by those who are familiar with his terrain,” the AJ Entertainment boss admonished ambitious youths to always learn from the experiences of those already established in their line of business.

Citing his personal example, he said growing up, he had wanted to become a professional footballer, but for his father, whom he said advised him to acquire Western education first after which he can decide on what to pursue in life.

It was the education acquired he said changed his perspective to now pursue his present line of business engagements.

Ilochonwu, a United States based music label owner, said, he was happy doing his job, yet, a football lover, now, instead of being a footballer,. But with his multi-dimensional business sense, he said he can now invest in the football game and still make as much as he could imagine making if he were to be a professional footballer.

This type of thinking, he said educational orientation can easily give one.

He also implored all the investors in the entertainment business to look out for raw talents and be willing to nurture them to excellence in their music career line, as this, he said would contribute to all-round growth in the industry.

The AJ Entertainment CEO said artistes like Blaqjerzee, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Jaywon, Skiibii, Kcee, Efya, Mr Eazi, Harmonize, Diamond Platnumz, Tecno, Ice Prince, Gyakie among others, he had worked with at a time were also looking up to some people to help nurture their dreams until they became stars. He said every dreamer was a success waiting to be celebrated.
