CITN Announces New Executives

The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN, has elected new officers that would steer its affairs in the next two years.

The election of the new executives followed a successful conduct of the institute’s 29th Annual General Meeting that held recently in Lagos.

The institute announced Mr. Adesina Adedayo its 15th President.

Adedayo took over the mantle of leadership from the immediate past President of the institute, Dame Gladys Olajumoke Simplice.

Samuel Olushola Agbeluyi became the Vice President and Inocent Chinyere Ohagwa the Deputy Vice President, while Mr. Simon Nwanmaghyi Kato was elected the Treasurer of the institute.

The institute also created the position of two new Deputy Registrars where Dr. Lanre Olasunkanmi was appointed as the Deputy Registrar Corporate and Internal Services whole Mrs. Afolake Oso, a lawyer and a Fellow of the Institute, was appointed as Deputy Registrar, Research and Professional Services.

Adedayo, the new President of CITN is a Risk Management and Economic Model Building specialist.

He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2017. A Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Adedayo is also a member of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

He holds a Special Executive Masters in Leadership & Strategy from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management (UK). He is presently undergoing the Senior Executive Course 43, 2021 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, near Jos in Plateau State.
