Foremost indigenous retail chain of supermarkets, Marketsquare has expanded its footprint in Africa’s largest economy with the launch of a new outlet in Benin City.
The newly launched outlet makes it the Marketsquare the 16th in the country.
The retail outfit has grown so rapidly since it sets out in 2015 to become the first choice of many shoppers in sourcing for grocery and fresh food products in several cities across the country.
Speaking during the launch, the firm’s Marketing Manager, Emmanuel Patrick Isangediok stated that the unveiling of the supermarket on May Day was strategic to further enhance customers’ shopping experience in the city.
He said, “As the fastest-growing retail store, we have to ensure that Nigerians continually have access to great products that will help enhance their quality of life at the lowest prices.
“We have put everything in place to ensure that Nigerians have access to modern and relevant retail shopping experience in a very convenient way to source for daily needs.
“We have also provided the opportunity for customers to shop on our online platform where they have the choice to pick up their already packed order inside the store or get it delivered to their homes or offices.”
While extending greetings to workers, he said, “we want to congratulate Nigerian workers on the occasion of the 2021 Workers’ Day.
Their daily toil has contributed immensely to the development of the nation. We also celebrate our workers across all our outlets nationwide. They are the ones who give customers the best shopping experience that has endeared our brand to them.

Isangediok also affirmed organisation’s commitment to federal government’s “buy local” initiative, reiterating that the firm will continue to promote and support indigenous manufacturers.
