Multibillion-Naira ITF Building to Boost Economy, Says Adebayo

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, said the new multi-billion naira edifice of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) located in Maitama, will have positive impact on the economy.

The project is billed to be completed and occupied by June.
Speaking during the facility tour of the building, Monday, the minister, who was particularly overwhelmed by the size and quality of the project, described it as magnificent.
He said:”Without sounding as a spokesman for the contractor, I think this job is very good, I’m very very impressed and I think the contractor is doing a good job.”

He commended the Director General of the fund, Mr. Joseph Ari, for his quality style of leadership, adding that the project had already started impacting on the economy by providing both direct and indirect jobs opportunities for some Nigerians.
He further promised to support ITF to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari’s drive for the creation of 100 million jobs is realised.
Ari, had led the dignitaries on tour of the building complex after the the ministry’s maiden quarterly meeting of the ministers, permanent secretary, directors of the ministry and of parastatal/agencies.

Other dignitaries at the facility tour included the Minister of State, FMITI, Mrs. Mariam Katagum, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, Executive Director, Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Mr. Olusegun Awolowo, Director General, SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Radda, among others personalities.

The ultra-modern 12- storey building, is strategically located in Maitama, surrounded by the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, NEPC House, Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing system for Agricultural Lending, (NIRSAL), Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) building that is still under construction.
