Boko Haram Claims Responsibility for Katsina Students Abduction

Terror group, Boko Haram, has claimed responsibility for the abduction of hundreds of school students in a government secondary school in Katsina State.

Gunmen on motorcycles had stormed Government Science School in Kankara Friday night kidnappiing scores of students and forcing several others to flee and hide in surrounding bushes. The Governor of Katsina Aminu Masari, who disclosed that 333 students were still unaccounted for, said the kidnappers had established contact and negotiations had commenced

However on Tuesday, leader of the Boko Haram group behind the 2014 abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls in Chibok, in a voice message, according to AFP reports, said: “I am Abubakar Shekau and our brothers are behind the kidnapping in Katsina.”
