Bauchi Gov Visits Tafawa Balewa’s Tomb,  Urges Politicians to Emulate Late PM

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has prayed for upcoming politicians to work towards actualizing the vision of the late Prime Minister of Nigeria, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, for all Nigerians.

The governor offered the prayer when he paid a visit to the Abubakar Tafawa Tafawa’s Tomb as part of the celebration of the 60th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria recently.

Governor Bala Mohammed said the late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was an elder statesman, father of the nation and a role model to upcoming politicians in the country.

“Innalillahi wa Innailaihi rajiun, I am here as part of the celebration of the 60th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria to pay a visit with respect to our father, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, we always remember him because of his vision not only for Nigeria, but for Africa.”

“As upcoming politicians, we should copy him so that we can deepen democracy and make Nigeria great in line with his vision and I pray Almighty Allah to protect the family he left behind.”

The governor who paid tribute to the late Prime Minister pledged to emulate his leadership legacies in a bid to contribute towards deepening democracy and to make Nigeria great.

Governor Mohammed had earlier before visiting Balewa’s tomb, interacted with youths and women as part of the celebration of the independence anniversary with a view to briefing them on the polices initiated by his administration beneficial to them.
