President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Abdu Mairiga as the Executive Secretary, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB) with effect from July 24, 2020 for a term of four years in the first instance.
The letter conveying the approval was signed by the Head of Service of the Federation (HoS), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, wherein she stated that the new appointment called for dedication, hard work and commitment to the realisation of the mandate of the Board.
The HoS tasked Mairiga to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear on the task ahead.
Mairiga was born in Gombe on December 4, 1960 . He holds a Masters of Arts (History) from the University of Maiduguri and Bachelor of Arts (History) from Bayero University, Kano State. He has attended many professional courses both within and outside Nigeria.
He was the Director, Employment Mobility and Director Overseeing the Office of Permanent Secretary, Career Management in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) before his current appointment. He is expected to assume duties in the Board immediately.
