Former United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Walter Carrington, died on Tuesday at 90.
The late diplomat, who was married to a Nigerian-born medical doctor, Arese, was appointed US ambassador to Nigeria by President Bill Clinton during the military era. He supported the struggle for the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria.
