Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 481 to 42,689

Nigeria has recorded 481 new cases of COVID-19, bringing to 42,689 the number of confirmed cases in the country.

It has also recorded five COVID-19 related deaths within the last 24 hours, raising the tally from 873 to 878 deaths.

Announcing this Thursday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded 98 new cases; Lagos, 89; Plateau, 68; Ogun, 49; Edo, 44; Rivers, 43; Oyo, 25; Osun, 23; Delta, 15; Enugu, 11; Kano and Kaduna seven each; Bauchi, two; while Yobe recorded one new case.

It said: “Nigeria has so far recorded 42,689 cases of COVID-19. 19,270 patients have been discharged while 878 persons have died.”
