Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 556 to 36,663

Nigeria has recorded 556 new cases of COVID-19, bringing to 36,663 the number of confirmed cases in the country.

Announcing this yesterday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said Edo recorded 104 cases; Lagos, 97; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 70; Benue, 66; Oyo, 61; Kaduna, 38; Plateau, 28; Osun, 19; Akwa Ibom, 14; Rivers, Katsina and Ondo, 13 each; Ogun, six; Kano, five; Nasarawa, four; Gombe and Ekiti, two each; and Borno, one.

It said: “Nigeria has recorded 36,663 new cases of COVID-19. 15,105 patients have been discharged, while 789 persons have died.”
