The Minister of Employment, Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige, on Tuesday apologised to the National Assembly Joint Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity over last week’s face-off between the committee and the Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo.

The face-off, which occurred Tuesday, last week, resulted in Keyamo being walked out of the consultative meeting for refusing to apologise to the federal lawmakers over his alleged ‘unruly’ behaviour.

At the resumed consultative meeting on Tuesday, Ngige in the presence of Keyamo, formally apologised to the committee members over what transpired between the lawmakers and the Minister of State for Labour.

He said: “As a former senator, I’m back at home among my colleagues and will begin by tendering unreserved apology about what happened last week.”
