Revised 2020 Budget: Senate In Closed-door Session

The Senate on Thursday resumed plenary and immediately went into a closed-door session with the President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, presiding.
Lawan, had after saying the opening prayer at 10.57am called for a closed-door session.
“Senate Leader closed- door session”, he said, after which Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, called his colleagues to order for the session to commence.
The Senate which was billed to return from its Sallah break on June 2 cut short its holiday to consider the revised 2020 Appropriation Bill sent by the Executive to the National Assembly last week.
