Nigeria Saturday recorded 176 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 5621.
Announcing this on Saturday night, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said five new deaths were also recorded.
A breakdown of the 176 new cases, recorded in 14 states, are as follows: Lagos 95, Oyo 31, FCT 11, Niger 8, Borno 8, Jigawa 6, Kaduna 4, Anambra(3), Edo 2, Rivers 2, Nasarawa 2, Bauchi 2, Benue 1, Zamfara 1.
NCDC said so far, 1472 cases had been discharged while 176 deaths had been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
