Breaking: With 381 New COVID-19 Cases, Nigeria Records Highest Daily Infection Rate

Nigeria has confirmed 381 new cases of COVID-19, representing the highest number so far recorded in a single day since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.

Announcing this Thursday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said Lagos recorded 183 new cases, Kano 55, Jigawa 44, Zamfara and Bauchi 19 each, Katsina 11, Borno nine, Kwara eight, Kaduna seven, Gombe six, Ogun five, Sokoto four, Oyo and Rivers three each, Niger two, while Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau had one each.

It said: “Nigeria has recorded 3,526 cases of COVID19. 601 have been discharged, while 107 persons have died from the virus.”
