NABTEB Postpones May, June 2020 Certificate Examinations

The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) has announced the postponement of its 2020 May/June Ordinary Level Certificate Examinations due to the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, made the announcement yesterday in a statement which was made available to THISDAY yesterday in Benin-city, Edo State capital.

According to the statement signed by the Board registrar, “The management of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) regret to announce the indefinite postponement of the Board 2020 May/June Ordinary Level Certificate Examinations.

“The 2020 May/June series of the NABTEB certificate examinations, which are for in-school candidates, originally scheduled to begin May 4, 2020, have now been postponed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. A new date will be announced in due course.”

Professor Abanihe, however, noted that registration for the examinations continues even with the announced postponement.

The registrar enjoined candidates for the examination to continue to positively and productively engage in their studies through e-learning resources made available through radio and television and other safe means while they await further information from the board.
