The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora, who had gone into isolation since Tuesday following his contact with a victim of COVID-19, has tested negative.
Although a WhatsApp message Thursday, from the minister on the outcome of the test conducted on him did not specify whom he had contact with, it is however, not in doubt that he was one of the members of COVID-19 Presidential Task Force who had contact with the Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Kyari had reportedly met with members of the task force including Mamora and the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, on Saturday and shook hands with them.
The minister in his WhatsApp message, said the test conducted on him Wednesday came out this morning and was negative.
“Following my contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, I went into self isolation. Testing was carried out on me yesterday and the result came back this morning NEGATIVE,” he said
