Former Edo State House of Assembly Candidate, Eghosa Asemota Agbonifo popularly known as Etek Notions needs not much introduction, he is a philanthropist and Founder of Michael Agbonifo Shoe A Child Foundation.
The native of Bini- Edo state is well known for his benevolence and big heart which has in numerous ways positively affected the lives of school children around the world, especially in his community Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
Shedding more lights on his humanitarian works to humanity, Agbonifo revealed to Thisday that he aims at drastically reducing crime rate by empowering a child at an early age. He said, “To me I feel a neglected child will one day create a huge problem for society. Look at the crime rates you’d see that it is a result of neglects. So, I don’t want to be part of those that failed our children. That is the major reason that I am ensuring within my abilities that I impact positively on them through he provision of school books , shoes, uniforms. School tanks for water storage and a lot more.’
Eghosa Asemota Agbonifo who with the support of his beautiful wife, Gladys Agbonifo remains relentless in contributing towards ensuring that the Edo Child has school shoes, reading and writing materials, school bags and other items to go to school, also stated his greatest achievement.
“My Greatest achievement is the day I made the decision to get married. Ever since have never had any regret. I have being enjoying marital bliss and we are blessed with three lovely children, Osamagbe Agbonifo , Osazemen Agbonifo and eghosasere Agbonifo”
On his advice for young people who look up to you for inspiration, the CEO of Etek Notions believes life is gradual process which needs no short cut. “My advice to young people is simple . Life is a gradual process and with positive projections we can make a difference. There is no short cuts to getting it right. The only short cut is through crime and that You already know it is not an option because of the consequences involved.”
