Crowdyvest Unveils New Initiative

Crowdyvest a platform that connects investors to impact-driven opportunities with higher returns has launched what it described as ‘Plentywaka’ bus.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony and handing over of key to bus drivers in Lagos, recently, the Founder and CEO, Crowdyvest, Onyeka Akumah, said the initiative was all about using technology to affect lives.

Akumah, added that potential investors could become partner with the sum of N60,000, at a return on invest (RoI) of 20 per cent for people to venture into the transportation industry.

According to him, “Crowdyvest was launched to foster a broader avenue for economic growth and build a system that will span across Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

“With the launch of PlentyWaka, we are focusing on innovation and better infrastructure in transportation for everyday Lagosians.

“Our unique difference from what is obtainable from the market is that our drivers would be earning till the third year when the bus becomes their own. What they are receiving is better than many other riding apps in the country.

“We are building a model to empower the drivers to become millionaires, creating jobs and are particular with the values as against just money making platform,” he said.

The service would begin operations with 25 buses to ply the Ajah-CMS route and is equipped with modern payment solutions including card payment and an in-app wallet to encourage cashless transactions that would help the users plan their journeys not only on a daily basis but weekly and monthly. The first set of users would enjoy two free trips on Ajah-CMS-Ajah pilot route after downloading the app.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director and Co-founder, Plentywaka, Johnny Enagwonor, said the initiative is all about changing the transportation sector in Lagos, adding that Lagosians would see another dimensions of modernize transport platforms.

“PlentyWaka is the next step for the future of the transport system in Lagos. Having access to safe, a convenient and accessible transportation option is crucial to reducing bad driving, related crashes, and possible eventualities.”
