Akachukwu Grabs Bungalow in ‘Win a Home Lottery’

Olawale Ajimotokan in Abuja

Fortunes smiled on Chukwudi Akachukwu as he became the lucky winner of a N25 million bungalow in the “Win a Home Lottery’, three months after Mrs Eyare Nola Okwa, won the same prize and was presented with a key to a furnished two- bedroom apartment, at EFAB Global Estate, Mbora, on the Idu- Karimo Expressway, Abuja.

But unlike the euphoria that characterised the previous live draw, incidentally the hand-over of the official document to the winner, Akachukwu was not physically present to receive his prize.

A staff of Win a Home Lottery, Miss Stephanie Odia, declared that in line with the laws of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, (NLRC), if after 180 days, they were unable to contact the winner, they would have to consider another draw to produce a fresh winner.

“We sent out messages to our clients to be on the live draw as one of them might be our next lucky winner. If the winner is present, it is also part of our obligation to call him and just break the news to him. So until 180 days elapse, we can’t have another winner. ” She said.

The mega prize is the company’s way of giving back to the society they operate and to ease the housing burden people are facing in Abuja.

The bungalow, valued at N25 million is tastefully furnished and in addition, has TV, dinning, kitchen and other facilities to make life comfortable for the owner.

The Win a Home Lottery Draw series is played with only N1,000. It began in November last year and has produced three winners.
