Kogi 2019 : Diche Joins Guber Race.

The former commissioner for Agriculture in the Kogi State, Dr. Tim Diche has joined others to contest for governorship election in the state.

The aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC) has also rolled out 17 point agendas under the Sectoral Programmes.

According to him, he intended to sponsored 54 bills as well as his target for the first 100 days in office if elected Governor of Kogi State .

Diche who contested in last primary of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) which produced Governor Yahaya Bello as Governor recently signified interest to vie for the governorship position of the state again in the November gubernatorial election.

The 48 year politician  from Adun-Woiwo community in Bassa LGA of the state made this known through his manifesto he titled: Development and Prosperity Mission, circulated around Lokoja the state capital .

The 24 pages manifesto, bears the logo of the All Progressive Congress, has three main agenda – his profile, Sectoral programmes and bills he intended to sponsor, that will fast track development in the state when and if he eventually becomes the governor.

Diche who stated his ambitions to contest again for the governorship seat after his first attempt in 2015 failed, said his ambition is being boosted by the demands and calls from many other Kogites who felt he has what it takes to pilot the affairs of the state better.

According to his manifesto, “Kogi State is not working at the moment in Development and Prosperity of its potentials. The population of the state will be over 10 million people in the next 10 years.

“I want to adopt a new governance strategy for the Development and Prosperity of Kogi State by Effective Institutional Governance Frame Work Model.

“The local government areas administration in Kogi State is not effective in Development and Prosperity of the citizens because of non- payment of full and prompt staff salaries, no development projects and no Local government electives in several years by successful administration of the state.

“I am passionate, competent and have capacity to deliver good governance. I have massive followership and admirers to win general election in Kogi State and become Governor. I want to unite the citizens and make Kogi State “First”.

“I want to flourish the economic and investment potentials of Kogi State to a Confluence of Opportunity for all, I want to create a competitive state in Nigeria for global investments. Successful leaderships to the state have failed the citizens and Kogi State in general.”

Diche who was the first person to resigned from the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello less than a year as commissioner, stated further that his political and public sectors experiences has prepared him for the governorship position.
