Panasonic Trains Technicians, Engineers

In a renewed drive to boost its after-sales service delivery capacity, Panasonic Africa Division, along with its Nigeria partner, Panaserv Nigeria Limited, recently organised a special training programme in Lagos and Abuja for its technical staff, channel partners and freelance technicians and engineers on air conditioners installation and repairs

The training attracted delegates and engineers from Panasonic Japan, Malaysia Factory & from Regional Head Quarters in Dubai, as major resource as well as the best of the company’s core technical staff in all the Panaserv service centres located in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt and Enugu.

Speaking on the essence of the training, one of the two Chief Trainers from Panasonic, Mr. Premsankar Vijayan, stated that enhancement for all technical partners was an activity that is ingrained in the culture of the organisation, reaffirming that the company would continue to empower more technicians with requisite skills.

Vijayan explained that, “These training sessions offer all participants the opportunity to update their skills in residential air conditioner installation and the use of ultra-modern tools for accurate diagnoses and repairs of air conditioners.

“This is why among the equipment being deployed for practical demonstrations here include the latest models of gas leakage detectors, digital temperature thermometers, and vacuum machines, automated gas refilling machines, portable welding machines, clamp meters and several others.”
Vijayan, further explained that the training would deepen the pool of well-trained technicians that would not only assist the company in offering after-sale services to its customers but also help to bridge the technical skills gap in Nigeria.

“Panasonic believes in complementing our superior product quality with excellent customer service delivery. That is why training and re-training of our staff is an important part of our process” he said.
