Coaching is the universal language of change and learning by partnering clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potentials.

Coaching is a skill that will bring about positive change for individuals and organisations, as it’s a journey to self-awareness, which focuses on two things: people and results.

According to the President, International Coaching Federation (ICF), Titilayo Akisanya, in her keynote address during the just concluded graduation of certified coaches held in Lagos, coaching is a ministry that enables you to achieve various levels of potentials.

The event organised by the parent company, TBA consults, was memorable as three streams of graduands were confirmed certified professional coaches.

For Mrs. Ajibola Ponnle, a founding director, whose foresight to develop the profession in Nigeria led to the launching of the Centre for CORE Coaching, the first Nigerian owned coach training programme to follow the international coach federation competencies and standards in West Africa, coaching has come full circle.

TBA Consults and the Centre for CORE Coaching is eternally committed to the activity of raising the quality of life for every individual, team, client, coach and business irrespective of level, regardless of race, creed or circumstance to achieve their full potentials.

The task is to make it possible and the mission is to partner organisations to raise their level of performance by changing and developing individuals from the inside out.

According to Sochi Ilomechina, the Managing Director, TBA Consults, TBA consults makes bold its success in planning such events and being a solid part of building the Pan-African dream.

She said: “Our experience with running this indigenous and 100 per cent home-grown coach certification programmes leaves TBA consults capable and confidence on the current state and future prospects of establishing a robust coaching culture in Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, the International Coaching Federation accredited coaches have met stringent education and experience requirements and demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession.

They also adhere to strict ethical guidelines as part of ICF’s mission to protect and serve coaching consumers because being a certified coach improves communication, increased self-esteem/self-confidence, increase productivity, optimised performance and improved work life balance.

According to them, becoming a professional coach affords an individual the unique opportunity of partnering people to become the best versions of themselves. Coaching is something everyone should go through. You will not only learn about how to coach others but you will also learn to self-coach.

The professional coaching certificate programme is designed to give you the theory, practice, learning materials and long-term support network needed to further your abilities as a first class coach with a business focus.
