Oshiomhole Played Bigger Anti-party Roles in APC, Okorocha Alleges

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has dismissed his suspension by the All Progressives Congress (APC), as illegal and a self-serving action taken by the chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, to achieve his disruptive agenda for the party.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, which was monitored by THISDAY yesterday, the governor alleged that Oshiomhole played anti-party roles in APC.

“All the people being promoted by Oshiomhole in APC in Imo State, including Senator Hope Uzodinma, didn’t win their unit at the just-concluded presidential and National Assembly elections. To me, that is the greatest anti-party on the part of the coalition group and the party chairman. That Oshiomhole gave the party’s ticket to a man who joined the party few months before the primaries is also an anti-party behaviour. If not for Buhari, APC would have witnessed a serious setback in the last election because of the impunity perpetrated by Oshiomhole,” he said.

Okorocha, who described the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in Imo State as an impostor, however added that his former Chief of Staff, who is also the candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu, only puts on the AA garment, while his heart is with the APC.
