Julius Berger AFP Gets Royal Welcome from Akiolu

Julius Berger AFP, the premium furniture and furnishing subsidiary ofBrandNigeria’s top leadership award-winning engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has officially opened its showroom to customers at Plot 33, Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. The showroom brings to the doorsteps of customers in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and its environs an exotic, full range of furniture and furnishing offerings designed and produced from the turnkey Julius Berger AFP manufacturing factory based in Idu Industrial Estate, Abuja.

The event was in furtherance of the unique partnership between Julius Berger AFP and frontline home appliances company, Miele.

While on the one hand, Julius Berger Abuja Furniture Production (AFP) is reputed for being Nigeria’s award-winning and industry leader in total furniture and furnishing design, production and implementation, Miele Nigeria on the other hand, supplies premium German domestic and professional range of appliances, including ovens, cooker hoods, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washers, dryers, care products and accessories which are renown around the globe for technical sophistication, stability and durability.

Accordingly, the purpose of the partnership is that Julius Berger AFP will deliver high quality and fit-for-purposefurniture and furnishing offerings that matches the size and accentuates the grand style of the high-grade Miele appliances; a partnership intended to achieve total customer satisfaction.

The memorable event, which show-cased a brilliantly functional and marketing collaboration between Julius Berger AFP and Miele weekend, was graced by the executive management of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc led by the Managing Director, Dr. Lars Richter. Julius Berger’s Director of Corporate Development, Mr. Tobias Meletschus as well as the Company Secretary, Mrs. Cecilia Madueke, the General Manager of Julius Berger AFP, Mr. Oliver Cohnen as well as Mr. Marcus Reif, Mr. Uchenna Uzoewulu, among other senior officials of Julius Berger. The Managing Director of Miele, Mr Mustapha Olorunimbe and other members of Miele’s Board of Directors, including Mr AkimBolarinwa were also present at the well-choreographed corporate ceremony.

The colourful event was graced by the royal presence and blessing of His Royal Majesty, AlaiyeluwaRilwanuAkiolu I, the Oba of Lagos who was accompanied by distinguished Lagos white cap chiefs, amongst whom was the Seun of Lagos, Chief OmogbolahunDurosinmi. The Oba of Lagos recalled that Julius Berger began its business in Nigeria in the 1960s in Lagos, and prayed for Julius Berger’s continuing good success in its business collaboration with Miele at its well situated and properly laid out showroom in Lagos. Among other significant dignitaries who were notably present at the ceremony were the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom of Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba SaheedAdemolaElegushiKushenla III, and His Royal Majesty, Mohammed Adio Yusuf, Oba Onisiwo of Tomaro and Abagbo land.

Both the General Manager of Julius Berger AFP, Mr Oliver Cohnen and the Managing Director of Miele Nigeria, Mustapha Olorunimbeagreed that their celebrated partnership has been implemented to deliver turnkey and excellent satisfaction to their mutual customers.

According to Mustapha Olorunnimbe, Managing Director of Miele Nigeria, in his speech at the soft launch of the Miele Nigeria/AFP partnership in Lagos recently: “The object of this partnership is to deliver greater satisfaction to our (mutual) potential customers who are in search of luxury and sophistication. This august collaboration will see to the achievement of a seamless décor outing for our prospective customers. In other words, it will deliver fit-for-purpose furniture that matches the size and style of our appliances. The partnership will also afford our potential customers the opportunity of achieving their décor needs in one shop instead of seeking out a furniture company to supply their furniture needs and, thereafter, seeking another home appliances company for their household appliances needs.”

Speaking later to the media at the event the General Manager of the Julius Berger AFP, Mr Oliver Cohnen, said: “while AFP Furniture, a subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc., is renowned for making top-of-the-pack home and office furniture, Miele is a German manufacturer of premium domestic and professional range of electrical appliances, known around the globe for sophistication and durability.”

The Managing Director of Miele Nigeria,Mustapha Olorunimbe added that, “the partnership between Julius Berger AFP and Miele Nigeria is also a demonstration of the mutual trust both brands have for each other which is predicated on their rich history of delivering maximum satisfaction to our respective customers.
