Buhari Wins in LGs in Zamfara

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the presidential election in Bukkuyum Gummi and Talata Mafara Local Government areas in Zamfara State.

The results of the three local government areas presented to the state Returning Officer, Prof. Kabiru Bala, showed that APC scored higher votes of 24,736 from Bukkuyum, 42,697 from Gummi and 44,270 from Talata Mafara.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with Bukkuyum 6,615 votes, Gummi 10,792 votes and Talata Mafara 9,159 votes.

Other parties in contest were the National Rescue Movement (NRM) that polled 142 votes in Bukkuyum, 151 votes in Gummi and 248 votes in Talata Mafara, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had 24 votes in Bukkuyum, 20 votes in Gummi and 30 votes in Talata Mafara.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that all the parties in the contest accepted the results presented at the collation centre.

The parties in the contest were APC, PDP, NRM and APGA. (NAN)
