Al-Makura’s Aide Dumps APC

By Emmanuel Ukumba in Lafia

A Special Assistant to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State, Jacob Ajegana-Kigbu, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ajegana-Kudu, who aspired but lost the APC ticket to contest the Nassarawa Eggon East constituency seat at the state assembly in the 2019 general election, tendered his resignation as a member of the party in a letter to his Ubbe electoral ward chairman of the party in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state, stating that he was no longer comfortable to remain in the APC.

The resignation letter, dated November 2, 2018, was made available to journalists by the governor’s former aide in Lafia yesterday.

He however did not disclose where he would be pitching his political tent next.

However, he had rejected the result of the state house of assembly primary election recently conducted by APC for his constituency alleging that the whole process was compromised by the returning officer for the primaries.

He had consequently alleged that the delegates list was doctored in the six electoral wards of the state constituency, even as he added that delegates were intimidated and harassed by hired thugs at the venue of the election.
