Foundation Supports Flood Victims in Delta State

The Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu Foundation (KAAF) has supported flood victims in Kwale, Delta State, with cash and some food items in an effort aimed at ameliorating the challenges those in the community were facing.

Making the presentation at the corporate head office of the organisation in Lagos recently, the Senior Personal Assistant to the Chairman, KAAF, Taiwo Aje, said the gesture was part of the corporate social responsibility of the organisation in giving back to the society.

Aje, who said the gift items were part of KAAF founder’s contribution to members of the affected community in Kwale.

The feat, according to him, would go a long way to give them hope to remain confidence and face the future, despite the flooding in their areas, while adding that his prayers at with them at this critical moment.

According to her: “We make this presentation through the KAAF, by giving the sum of N1 million, food items and other donation to the flood victims affected in Kwale, community, Delta state.

“We send our sympathy and empathy to them and pray that God will be with them in these trying times”.

Accepting the donation, on behalf of his community, the Chairman, Melka West Africa Limited, Mr. Micheal Uwaka, said: “I am not surprised, but very happy because after showing him a picture of the devastating effects of the flood of the community in Delta state, where houses were completely submerged with water, he told me he will get to me after deliberating with the board.

“We really appreciate this gesture and promise to distribute them adequately,” he explained.

Uwaka, equally called on other corporate organisation and individuals to come to the aid of the community and support in which ever capacity they can, as the people will appreciate it a lot.
