Anenih’s Passage a Monumental Loss, Says Ita-Giwa

Former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, has described the passage of former Chairman, Board of Trustees, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, as a monumental loss to the country and the political space.

In a statement released by her Media Office on Monday, Ita-Giwa recalled how she worked day and night with the late Anenih in different capacities in promoting stability, national development and sustaining democracy.

According to her, Pa Anenih was a nationalist, a democrat and a patriot whose love for country and the people cannot be faulted. She added that he left at a time when his pool of wisdom and wealth of experience would be greatly needed by politicians and leaders across all political divide.

The statement reads in parts: ” The death of our leader, Pa Tony Anenih, came to me as a shock but I take solace in the fact that he lived a very good and fulfilled life.

“I worked with him day and night and noted his passion and love for the country especially in sustaining the democratic process. I pray for the repose of his soul and for his family, the fortitude to bear this monumental loss.”
