The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, would next present the 2019 appropriation bill to the state House of Assembly for onward scrutiny and consideration by the lawmakers.
The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Muhammad Brodo, disclosed this shortly after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting, presided over by the governor yesterday.
The meeting which was held at Government House, behind closed-door enabled Masari’s cabinet members to discuss issues that would foster the development of the state, including the 2019 appropriation bill.
Brodo said the meeting extensively deliberated on the performance of 2019 budget in the state that cut across health, education and environment, among other sectors.
He reaffirmed that the special adviser to the Governor on Budget had presented the 2019 budget for scrutiny of members of the state executive council and a resolution was arrived for the budget to be taken to the state house of assembly next week.
